Mission:
Our mission is to create a
transformational learning climate
in which students can become
empowered to be leaders,
self-responsible learners, agents
of change, and true scientists.
Founder:
Wisdom Academy for
Young Scientists was
founded by Kendra
Okonkwo, an urban
educator who has taught
for 22 years in LAUSD,
private schools, and now
charter schools. Kendra's
motivation for creating a
charter was in to make
educational programs
available to all children in
the surrounding
community.
